You will need to list your home with a licensed real estate agent. Part of the commission for an agent is the large amount of marketing that only they can do for your home. One of those is the MLS system.

You must list the home with a Licensed Real Estate Broker who is a member of your local multiple listing services. Before you list your home with one, know what the commission will be, make sure your realtor does this full time, ask how many homes the agent has sold this year, and request a detailed marketing plan.

Hi, You will need a licensed real estate agent that will help you in getting your property listed in the MLS. But there is a similar service for FSBO. Look it up in Google.

Best of luck to you. If you have any more questions you can send me an email direct. I'd be more than happy to show you some ways to sell your home. Getting your property in the MLS is one thing, but the rest you might need some guidance from a licensed agent. Again, I wish you well.

It is always to your advantage to list it with a Realtor.  That way it goes into the Multiple Listings and is exposed to all offices and their clients in that Multiple Listing service, greatly increasing your chances to connect with a Buyer.  Another benefit in having a Realtor is the fact that they are well acquainted with contracts, necessary disclosures and real estate laws, which all protect you the Seller.

Of course, you have to get it listed with a Licensed Realtor. I have clients ask me all the time why the other websites are not up to date and I explain that the only real accurate multiple listing system is the one the Realtors use. Our dues throughout the year enable us to access the website and we also pay our Local dues at the end of the year.  This is the advantage we have over other websites.

In order to get it on the actual MLS you will need to hire a licensed Real Estate agent.  With hiring an agent you will get more than just getting it on the MLS however .  Agents provide way more marketing for your property than what a typical homeowner can do.  For me I work 40 hrs a week advertising my clients homes and that is my job. Homeowners who try and sell FSBO sometimes find it exhausting and a little overwhelming even trying to keep up with marketing a home at a high level.  Please reach out to a local agent today but feel free to interview several as you want one that markets your home and doesn't stop until its sold and has a track record to prove it.

The best way to have your home on the MLS- or to "go public" is to have a Licensed Real Estate Agent list it. There are many advantages to working with a Realtor.
The first is peace of mind- your agent is trained to ensure you have all the legal documents necessary to properly "represent" you during the sale of your home.
Second, your realtor will work with you to develop a strategy to market and have your house shown to as many qualified buyers AND buyer agents.
And third- working with a Realtor is FREE until you sell your home.[then you pay a % for the work they did to expose, market and negotiate the best deal for you]. If you use a discount broker- they will charge you an upfront fee to sell your house on your own and just enter you in the MLS.

Good luck!
