I was trying to get the "for sale" status removed. It's already posting the recently sold date and price, but it still looks like it's for sale.

Congratulations on your sale.
Is your goal to remove the "for sale" status, or to have a recently sold status?
If you are looking for the recently sold status, then that comes through when the public data for your area is updated. Sometimes I see this in as little as 10 business days after closing, and in other areas it can be several months.
If you wish to remove your "for sale" status, then you'll have to have the listing feed removed.
Or, if I've guessed totally wrong perhaps you could expand on your goal.

Our house is sold. How do I get Zillow to recognize that? I did all the steps--no luck.
