Under ethical grounds, I advice you to complain. The agents broker will know what to do from there. Hope all goes well!

The broker has an image to uphold and will not want the business name in mud. Contact broker and I am sure they will smooth it out! Good Luck!

It is appalling to be treated so poorly by someone when going through such an emotional process like buying a home, and a short sale at that! Your agent should be working for you and supporting you. Please know that there are many wonderful, caring, hardworking agents out there.
I agree that you should approach the broker, present the facts, and see if you can't get our of your contract. You can also write a letter to the Real Estate Commission in your state and lodge a formal complaint. Good luck to you!!

Wow! It always amazes me to find out that there are agents still in this buiness with "attitudes". We are supposed to be all about our clients. Our best advertisement is a happy and satisfied client. I am so sorry to hear about your situation.
I agree with the other agents that have told you to document and present everything to her Broker. Depending on the response from them, that would determine whether or not you'd want to stay within their firm or get an entirely new company to represent you.

You should go directly to the Broker in charge and terminate the contract.
Buying a property is a process where communication is key! I can't imagine an agent yelling at their client. Wow!

My experience is stern rational confrontation and detailed factual documentation are far better than yelling. Yelling escalates and rarely gets what is desired. Blows my mind it would be recommended by a Realtor(R)

No need to yell. Put everything in writing send it to the broker and get the written release or get transferred to another agent. Most brokers will step up and try to resolve the situation.
If they refuse, file a detailed complaint with the local Board and tell them that you will hold the agent and borker financially responsible if you lose the house due to their unprofessional actions.

Yell back at her and then pick up the phone and call her broker in charge and ask to be released from your contract or to be assigned a different agent in the same company but at a different office. Sorry to hear about this....

I'm really sorry to hear that happened to you. It gives us Agents a bad name. Short sales are about the hardest thing in real estate. I wonder when was the last time she closed a deal? She probably is stressing on losing her oown home. Simply and firmly tell her you don't appreciate the lack of professionalism, and if it happens again, you'll have a very important decision to make. Good luck!

My advice is that if the brokerage does not handle the situation, call your local LLR. They will take care of it.

wow...yelled at you? that's scary
sounds like you need more than just another agent, she needs help. Contact the broker, share your concerns, see if they can mitigate the risks and get to the bottom of the problem and smoothly transition you to someone else.

Recently - in fact a quick view of the last seven days of posts reveals several complaints about poor service from REAs. If the agent does not want your business, hire an REA attorney - it may be better for you and less grief.

Report that realtor and the acts he has done to the agent's broker and you'll be advised of the next steps to take.

Call the brokerage or the manager and request another agent- hopefully she is not a one man show. If there really is no reason for her rudeness then you have every right to complain. Buying a regular home is stressful and a short sale adds to the complications, she should be more considerate.

Absolutely call the agent's broker. They should be able to smooth things over for you. I
I agree that you should contact the agent's broker. Any reasonable broker will want to satisfy you in order to keep your business and keep the goodwill of the public. Secondly, you should initiate a termination of the buyer's agency contract. Typically, this will take 30 days to terminate from the date of file. However, if you initiate termination it is likely that the agent will release you-especially if you are being reassigned to another agent in the broker's office.

You need to call your agents broker ASAP and tell them that you will file a complaint with the Board unless they assign another agent. Do not back down and try to get the agent yelling on a tape recorder, voice mail or nasty email/text. You will need it to break your contract with the agent.
If you are in NY, this organization here can refer you to your local board if needed or you can file a complaint with the state here. I am sorry that your agent is acting this way. Most agents are professional and polite.
