Over priced

Why is this house so over priced being it is in a flood zone, has oil heat and the dormer/attic was made into bedrooms?

We put over 100,000.00 in our house and are moving due to all the updates but on the realistic side of the realm we have to cut our loss's and realize what is better selling or forclosure. So we chose selling. This is how I know they are being unrealistic.

Asking price has nothing to do with the price it'll be accepted at. Have your agent talk to the listing agent and find out what the deal is....are the sellers motivated, are they even REALISTIC. It can be a waste of time to deal with sellers who have unrealistic views of what their home is worth. But in the end, the real value of a home is what someone is willing to pay for it...and what the market will hold.

There are many reasons for a listed price, but what they ask and what they get are two different things
