We appreciate your feedback. But currently, Zillow still doesn't have the capability or feature that makes the page views count optional; or allows provision of a code or set-up that will program the Page View Counter to exclude the homeowner's personal visits or views of their own home facts page.
The "hits" registered on the counter is updated in real time each time any one will access the home facts page.
Thanks again for your feedback and please share future suggestions on: http://www.zillow.com/forum/site/ViewCategory.htm?tcid=11.

It looks like for the time being, every time we look at the counter, we need to record the results on our own and subtract one.
But this becomes tedious if updating info, especially since two different pages for each property update the counter!

I just listed my house for sale and noticed the page view problem that others have called out to you. First of all, I was delighted that you have a page view counter. I'd suggest that you not advance the page counter ever when I log into my account and view the page. It simply isn't relevant.

Hi craigcyr! -
Thanks for sharing your comments!
As of now, Zillow still automatically reflects all hits on your home facts page view counter, which includes owner views. We will look into the feasibility of providing the feature or option to exclude owner views.

Please correct this! The view counter should only count visitors, not every individual page view within a house profile. And obviously a register owner's views should be excluded.

I think in addition to excluding page views being counted by one's own realtor or the actual homeowner, there should be an option to be able to reset the page view to zero, if not in total at least for the month that your in at the time.
I think with this many people asking for it...it would be a good idea to have a popular site like this implement items that will only endear zillow to more users.
Just a suggestion.....

The real problem I see here is the increment of the page veiws each time the same house is viewed. Barring the ability of the development team to fix it so the counter does not increment for the user's own properties, my suggestion is to use the zillow cookie to only increment the counter once per web session. This would more accurately reflect the nubmer of visitors, when a single user revisits an ad several times when comparison shopping.

House was taken off the market last week - just relisted as deal fell through - how do I get the view counter back to zero !!!

Unfortunately, Zillow does not have an option to reset the page views yet. As of the moment, your only work around for this is to take note of the number of views when you relisted the property and subtract it from the subsequent total. For now, we'll let our product development team know of your question.
Thanks.

Page Views
I use this number to see how many "hits" I'm getting on my house and every time I reload the page, the counter increments.
Thanks
