While there is a "restricted weight" policy for pets belonging to any resident, a renter would be further restricted by the lease agreement.  A landlord has the prerogative to mandate his or own policy beyond the restrictions of the building.

Based on the data in MLS the policy on pets is a "restricted weight" policy.  That would be if you purchased, however if you are renting, the individual owner has the option of further restricting the policy or not allowing pets at all.
