This is a cool feature. I know they have a program that allows you to actually move furniture around in a room by dragging and dropping. Think of how powerful it would be if every professional could to a simulated staging of your room based on the things you already own; then, you could choose the best.

The fireplace can work well in this room. Its large and the tiny pictures around it are off scale. You need a larger, longer pictures.. You can use comtempory, modern or country any style can work. Because you have the height on one side of the room you need to place height around the room eg. taller plants, amoire etc. Try also dressing your windows,, You dont have to go crazy. Some simple long drapery. Remember use the height of the room Have the drapes go all the way above the window and down to the floor. Color and furniture are always is an individual taste. If you are using color as opposed to neutrals have the color play around the room. Tie it altogether with paint,lighting and a large enough area rug. If the rug is too small the furniture will also seem not the proper scale for ythe room. Good Luck!

This Living Room needs personality, a pop of color.
The wall art is not creating a statement.
I would also move some furniture around, it appears the couch in front of the stairs may be cutting off the room size.

Take your picture and frame to your local Glass Service company and have them cut a piece of non glare glass to replace your current glass. Picture glare is gone!

Interesting, it still works in the top part of the photo, but doesn't work in the bottom 3rd of the photo; and the comment that I wanted to add belongs near the bottom. I can't find anyway to let me post it presently.

Yes, heat loss may be much more of an issue for her. Double pane windows, window shade control, attic insulation, and more attic space would all still be beneficial, though I admit I didn't even try to run a building envelop calculation.

By the way, I don't like the way Zillow hyphenates/wraps words on the photo comments.

It started working again shortly after my last post.
But how can it be "enough already" if there are are still empty spots on the photo with no comments?
But at least I can't think of anything else I want to mark on it tonight.
There are 67 total comments on the photo now. When it has been broken the last few weeks, there were 7 comments that couldn't be read. They deleted one in order to make it work again, thus only 6 of the comments were from several weeks ago. The rest are today.

I think I broke the feature again. I still have several more comments to add, but it won't let me add them anymore.
As for the floor outlet; you don't have to move it if you can arrange the furniture more strategically to accommodate it.

Sorry took so long to fix, there was a corrupted comment somewhere plus another bug. Now you can see it working in this advice thread too.

My suggestion would be to remove the current art work you have an find some nice prints of scenery that coordinate with one another. This rooms is all about bringing the outdoors in as you have such wonderful natural light.
The plant needs to go. I would put the couch along the wall by the windows, and I would take one chair out of here. Your lamps need to be aneutral color other then bright white. Your end tables appear to be very low for the height of your chairs. Your end tables should be at least the height of the chair arm or just a bit below. Your tables look low.
You definitely want to highlight the fireplace here and by having the couch where it is, it hides it. It is hard to see what is on the other side of this room to see if you can put anything over there.
Good luck and when you are done you should show us all new picture.

It has been about 2 weeks, and we were told about 2 weeks to get it fixed. The "mark this photo" feature is still working on the other threads that use it, so why it is still broken here, I have no idea.
By the way, I agree with wetdawgs... NO artificial scents, as it only implies one is trying to cover something up, and it only annoys people sensitive to smells.
If you really must do scents; do it in the kitchen with real food, such as fresh baked bread, or chocolate chip cookies, or some good greens.
And personally, I would leave the warm fresh baked chocolate chip cookies (or the bread) out with a note that they are for those that came to visit the house.

Glade plug ins would chase away this potential buyer! NO artificial scents - be it plug ins or Fabreeze or Potpourri are okay in a staged house IMHO.

Make sure you always have proper lighting and a pleasant smell. Glade plug ins work great. I have found that playing a light music is a good touch as well.

This room is very bright and contemporary! I would replace the lamps with a modern piece of sculpture. Take down the pictures next to the fireplace aand replace with a couple of contemporary paintings on canvas.Remove the plant or buy a new one that has some hieght not width.

Hi! I live in Florida where the homes are airy and very open. Your room is very nice and open. I like that! However, you have it filled up with things that I do not like. 1). It is so bright in there I would remove the lamps, they serve no purpose and are very old fashioned looking. 2). To make the room more open move the over stuffed chair on right, to the left of the sofa or remove it completey. 3). It does not look like you can not walk in the room for the plant. Put it to the right of the fire place and perhaps rise it some, 1-2 feet. 4). Get rid of the pictures, old looking. Everyone wants to buy a updated home. The room is beautiful but many buyers can't vision the room different than the way it is.

A Realtor created a "mark this photo" thread today, and though nobody marked anything on his photo yet, it works just fine... (I pressed the cancel button to avoid creating a pointless comment).
