Possible to get approved?Hi, I know my situation isn't good, but wondering if there is any chance for me to be approved. My boyfriend and I are needing to move and we feel it would be better to buy than rent. I am currently staying with my parents to get my debt paid down but they are moving so this is no longer an option. My gross salary is 2028 per month-10 years at job. I also have a second job that I have had since Mar 2012. The extra money hasn't been consistent but has increased over time. 2012 made 1730 and 2013 made 5000. For the last several months I have averaged 600-800 per month. My current monthly payments are about $1104.91 (528 credit card min across 6 cards+ 343.67 student loan + 233.24 car) and I have two cards that I helped my brother out a few years ago (75.06 min pmt), he does not have the cards but pmt comes directly from his bank account, so not sure if I have to count that in my debt. I am not using my credit cards and the high balances are due to school costs and old car problems. I haven't been able to consolidate due to high debt but paying off as best I can. I have about 2000 in savings and a little more than that in 401k. The last I knew my score was about 670s ...no negatives except high balances and utilization. My parents are going to give me about $8000 towards downpayment also. We are wanting to look at houses in the $40-$50k range. Bf can't be included on the mortgage due to past bad credit that he is still working on. My parents are willing to pay off some of my debt if that could make a difference. They would consider it a gift and there would be no official obligation to pay it back, however, once i got settled, I would probably pay them back that amount (the down payment assistance would definitely be a gift though). I had talked to my bank and they told me my dti was too high which I knew and they couldn't consider my second job. I don't really know who to talk to locally. Is this an impossible situation? Any hope?
