We are seeing an increase in our business, even though we are in the middle of winter in Northeast, OH. For some price points, there is currently a shortage of homes for sale. I think 2012 will be an interesting year!

I believe you are correct for our Louisville,KY market. Seeing buyer activity increase in January. Listings flat to down.

Locally I'm seeing a reduction in the re-listing of overpriced properties. I'm not sure how that changes the market, they weren't going to sell at the listed price anyway, and after 3+ years of listing them on and off they aren't going to reduce their price unless they let them go into foreclosure and the banks sells them.
Unless there is a reduction of current market priced listings either by individuals or by the banks, what effect are we going to see?
