Prefab/Manufactured Home in 95448

We are looking at a house that was built in 1995 but its a manufactured/prefab home bolted to a foundation..  We were told this might make it harder to get a loan as some banks do not like these.

Worried if its not a problem now it may be down the road for re-sale.  It seems to on top of a solid foundation.

This would be a vacation home and concerned about 1) getting financing and 2) how this affects resale value down the road if a future buyer has problems getting a loan.

thx

Primarily concerned about  itand any potentials pitfalls or problems you may have experience with.  Obviously we will have an inspection done but should we get an extra one done? structural?

Hi,

It is difficult but not impossible to finance prefab/manuf if it is your primary residence but it is next to impossible for a second home.

I am not a Realtor so I would ask your agent regarding the re-sale implications.

Good luck,

P
