Process using zillow listings that say pre-foreclosure or foreclosure

Can anyone explain the details or process of how it works when a user hits on one of zillows lists that says `pre-foreclosure' or just `foreclosure. and wants to buy?

Pre-foreclosure has vast meaning and I wouldn't count on being able to purchase any of those.  Foreclosure is your best bet -  have your agent contact the listing agent directly as that is the only way you'll be able to negotiate.
