Property Taxes in Metro AtlantaThe Atlanta Journal Constitution earlier this year did a series of articles stating that there is a gap between the market value and assessed value of homes in the metro area. What that means is that most homes are worth a lot less money than what the county thinks. So, for many homeowners, they are paying taxes on a higher value that there home is actually worth. If you want a copy of the series of articles, please contact me. The bottom line is that everyone should appeal their property taxes. What are your experiences or thoughts on this matter?
