Thanks Karen. The house is not listed. Just wanted any publicly available information to be correct.

I don't know if there is a way to correct it on Zillow. I think Zillow gets their information from idx sites and it's not always correct.
Sorry I read it incorrectly, thought you meant on the mls:)

Your listing agent either made a mistake or was not aware of the way
taxes are calculated in our town of scituate. Make it a high priority to get it changed asap as some buyers weed out homes just based on the taxes.

No one put this information in Zillow by us or on our behalf. Would have glady filled in the correct amounts for our property tax. Our house has never been listed and is not now so I don't know how, from where and why Zillow pulled this tax information because the tax rolls and public records of what we have paid are correct.. Any suggestions? Would like to get this corrected but it was not an option for the homeowner to correct. Why doesn't Zillow have a customer service contact email? If they are creating property info for their database based on public info to suggest comparables, they should get it right.

Joy, Karen truly answered your question and you need whoever put the listing in zillow change it. Do discuss it with your agent but do get it changed quickly. Overpriced anything does not sell well in this real estate market! best

Whomever "listed" the property probably didn't know that. When they took the tax amount they should have multiplied then divided by 50%! However, that doesn't mean its true for all homes in Scituate since some may have listed it correctly. You should have it changed because people do look at the tax amounts and you may be deterring some people from even looking at your home!
Property taxes paid are listed as double the correct taxes due to 50% valuation in our community
Our home listing shows the property taxes paid as double. Our community only taxes on 50% of the property valuation. This is probably true for all homes in Scituate RI 02831, 02857.
