Qe made an offer on a REO and now it is listed as "removed from market" did we lose our chance?

We made an offer and 3 days later the property was removed from the market however our agent hasn't heard anything. Our offer is the only offer that has been made.

I was really just wondering if there was any way we could still have a chance. For example they accepted our offer but had not notified us. Wishful thinking. I was just confused because when we spoke to our agent he seemed unconcerned.

I guess I should have said that according to our agent when we put the offer in that there had not been an offer made since the house went on the market . I appreciate the answers that refrained from being rude.

There are many reasons a property is removed from the market.  Bank could have decided to send it to an auction or they found an issue on the title (someone already suggested this).

I agree with the others - yours may not have been the only offer.  Or the highest offer.

The property being a REO, there might have been title issues that prohibited the bank for marketing and/or selling the property.
