Question about condo rules against in-unit washer/dryer (DC)Hello. Prospective first-time buyer here. A significant number of the condo units I am interested in prohibit washer/dryers. Many offer common laundry facilities and a good number of them are subsidized. I have two questions about this. First, is this fairly common in DC? For background, I am most interested in Cathedral Heights and Cleveland Park. Perhaps this has something to do with the age of the buildings in those areas. Second, how significant would the absence of in-unit washer/dryer and rules against their installation likely be for resale? Since I'm struggling so much with the issue, I assume it would have a negative impact on the sales process. Ultimately, if this is a common issue, then I can tolerate it (however disheartening).Thank you!July 21 2012 - Washington0YesReport a ProblemProblemSelect oneOffensive contentIrrelevant contentSpam (pure self-promotion)OtherDetailsYour emailPlease enter a valid email address.Submit CancelContent flaggedWe will review this content.
