Hey Sam,
What did you think of the event? Just wanted to connect with another REbarcamper. :-)
Maybe I'll connect with you IRL on the next one.
Did you make it down to REBlogWorld in Vegas, like Rhonda Porter and others?
Have a great day,
Ed

Hey Ed & Sam,
I think the Bellevue event was excellent. Couldn't believe how much value was in a free un-conference. Met some good contacts and I learned a lot about social media marketing and blogging... especially some things NOT to do. Polishing up some of our ideas and starting over... Some of my LO's do a good job at it, and some haven't even started. I'll definitely be promoting the next event to the team and any real estate agents that will listen. Good stuff. ;)
Thanks,
Michael

I am not an agent, but would love to hear more about RE Bar camp. I love marketing so I am naturally interested in new approaches and social media marketing is sort of like today's electronic word of mouth. From what I have read, it is an event geared mostly to real estate professionals. Makes me wish I was licensed, but I hope people will post more about their experiences so I can at least attend a little bit vicariously.

Contributions:3472REBar camps are the latest in real estate technology training/education. The one-day "anti-conferences" and half-day mini-camps are free events, attended and staffed by technology-minded real estate pros discussing the cutting edge of technologies that affect our ability to market, sell, connect, and communicate with our clients and customers.
The next REBar in the Northwest is in Bellevue, on October 6 from 9-12 am. I missed the full day REBar in Seattle last month (clients don't wait), and I heard from those involved that it was well worth it. This isn't a day of listening to salesmen hawk their wares, it's really a meeting of the minds with a handful of presenters leading the discussions and topics. It's really encouraged for participants to be involved, as opposed to a "conference" with one speaker and a massive crowd listening.
For those of you who are already real estate "geeks" or those just looking to get involved, this is a quick jump into the deep end of the pool.
Camps are scheduled all over the country this year - take a look.
