Clearly the statement not enough was referring to income. I don't know one realtor that is 100% satisfied with their salary. Everyone wants to work less and make more. Many try, few succeed! Just a small joke!In all seriousness:For me it all depends on the week and type of clients I'm working with. Some weeks I put in 60+ hours. Other weeks I put in 20 hours. It really all depends what demands my clients have.I would love to have a set schedule, but as all realtors know that is nearly impossible if you want to be successful. Personally I can get a ton of work done just sitting in front of the TV at night. Other times I need to be in my car running around. I always tell myself I'm going to track my time with each client, but I never end up doing that.Last year I closed 9 deals and made just over $65K. My easiest deal took 40 days from the time I was contacted by the client until closing occurred. Commission amount was $23K.My hardest deal took me over 7 months and I viewed over 50 homes. Offered on 4 homes and finally got a closing done. Commission amount was $3,800.If I had to guess I'd say I put in about 30-40 hours a week. I do have a separate business that I own, but is managed by other individuals. I put about 20-30 hours per week into that. Many of these work hours overlap by multi-tasking.In a recent poll the national average for agent salary is about $40K. I know in my office there are several agents that work full time and make over $250K a year. We also have a ton of agents that make between $0 - $12K a year doing it part time. Great Question!
