Redistricting of Elementary Schools

Profile picture for The Grog
For those of you who were not aware there is a plan that will be voted on in January by the school board to redraw the boundary lines for the Elementary Schools. This is NOT finalized yet. If you are unhappy about it you should voice your opinion to the superintendent, Dr. Timothy Kirby [tkirby@upsd.org]

This is what he sent me,

In order to bring some orderliness to the process, we have established the following timeline for consideration of all points of view:

Oct.10--Nov.15: Residents submit requests and questions.

Nov.16--Dec.3: Review of all requests and drafting of any recommended changes.

December 6: Final draft presented to Board and Public.

January 10---Board vote on redistricting.

Again, thanks for articulating your concerns. If you have other data you wish to share, kindly forward to me by 11/15.

Sincerely:

Tim Kirby

The whole proposal can be viewed on the district webpage, http://www.upsd.org
