Refinance through HARP with LPMI

I know there are several discussions out there on this topic, but none seem to be very recent.
I own a home in CT that is mortgaged through Chase with Lender Paid PMI. We have a 6.625% rate and have tried to refinance recently through Chase but are told we have no options. We seem to meet all criteria except that we have LPMI. I have read that HARP 2.0 has allowed for refinance to happen with LPMI but many banks are choosing not to do it.
I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with other banks on a successful refinance.
For what it is worth, we are current on our payments because we have someone renting it, though their rent doesn't cover the cost of our monthly costs.

It is true many banks don't allow HARP with LPMI but HARP 2.0 has made it much easier to get these policies transfered.

Do you have Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan?   What is your estimated Loan To Value?

If you would like to contact me through my profile I can likely advise you on what banks would be likely to work with your scenario based on the above information.   I don't lend outside of CA but would be happy to help set you on the right path.

Sue,

It is true some lenders have put their own "guideline overlays" on the HARP 2.0 program making it more difficult to get financing done when you have monthly MI or like in your case LPMI.

We can actually help you out as we lend in all 50 states and are able to transfer the LPMI with most companies.  If you would like more information you can contact me through my profile page.
