Relocating - best places for housing that will accept a medium size dog

Moving to the the Chicago area in the next couple of weeks and having trouble locating a rental that will accept a medium sized dog. Any suggestions? Looking in the Ravenswood, Andersonville and Lakeview areas.

What is medium sized?  Most larger buildings have weight limits which usually begin at 50 lbs and go down.  For private units- many landlords just straight up don't want animals in their units and if they do take them be prepared to pay hefty non-refundable fees.

Depending on your budget- there are a number of dog friendly areas though.

655 West Irving Park does not have pet size limitations.
