Relocation and appraisal question

Greetings!  I am planning to move. I've told a few local realtors and offered a percentage if they bring a buyer but have not entered into a contract.  I am optimistic that some degree of relocation assistance will be offered with a new job at my career level so I'm hesitant to enter into a contract; however, willing to sell and rent until job works out.  Any advice?  Second question is about appraisal; I hear alot of complaints about local services, and there aren't many comparables here or much realty volume in general.  Last appraisal on this house which I saw before purchasing about 4 yrs ago had a few mistakes.  Any suggestions?  Many thanks for any help...

Put a contingency in your listing contract about the relocation.  That way you can get out of it.  The relo company will probably want to use their own broker.
