I own two distressed properties and was wondering was is the best kind of loan to apply for to get them ready for rental?

The first step would be to call a lender or your bank. Associated with RealtySouth, I use Home Services Lending, Kevin Bader, 205-789-9571. Or call the bank that you personally bank with. There are also Zillow premiere loan officers that you can contact directly via Zillow.  If your personal home has equity and credit score is within standards required by the lending institution, you may also inquire into an equity line of credit and use the funds for the renovations.
