I am curious if very many of you have received any responses to a "for sale" posting or add on Zillow. Do you think prospective buyers would be more apt to contact an agent or the actual home owner through the contact info?

I've had people at my open house tell me they saw it on here. They didn't contact me, just showed up.

I think people interested in buying look here, people who are interested in selling look here for price comps, etc. But I think realtor.com is where people go to search for house for sale. That's where most of the people who have come to see my house, saw it first.

I received one vague e-mail/question from someon looking on zillow - and someone at an open house said they saw it on zillow. I also average quite a few hits a day - about 5 to 10 per day on my home site.

I list my home on craigslist about every 10 days or so and refer to zillow on there as well.

Zillow ads are on Zillow. You can put a photo on it with contact info as well as a link to an additional web site such as Realtor.com. When doing the ad you get to choose what zip codes you want them displayed in. They only cost $10 for about 1000 views, and you can monitor how many clicks you get to your posting from the views. As far as I know I have not received any responses either, but the contact info has been my agent and he was negative on it to begin with.

We have had 2 people who have seen our ad for sale on zillow We are very happy with that!!!! I better add that actually came to see our home!!!! We are happy with that!!! It shows us that people are looking on zillow!!! And I agree not enough people know about Zillow NOW but they will!!! Realtor.com has been around for much much longer!!!!

I can't even find my MLS on realtor.com. You'd think the MLS for the DC area would be listed on there. I had someone else double check me in case I was having a eye problem but they couldnt find it either.
