You may have noticed a new link at the top of your home details page (right below your address) that directs you to a city or neighborhood page. If your home is part of a major city, it's likely that it is linked to a neighborhood page. Our neighborhood data comes from internal research we have done to determine neighborhood boundaries in more than 130 cities across the country (covering 6,500 neighborhoods). We are definitely working to get the neighborhood boundaries integrated into our map & search, but that is still a couple months away from happening. Once integrated, it will be much more apparent to users how their homes got associated with a specific neighborhood.

We realize there are some homes that may be associated with the wrong neighborhoods. If your home is one of those, we'd love to hear about it so that we can improve our neighborhood definitions and add neighborhoods that we are missing entirely. If you're in this camp, please leave your address & both the current neighborhood name & the expected neighborhood name as a reply to this thread.

Hello Drew, My neighborhood ( West Palm Beach 's "South Side"; in zip code 33405) has a western boundary at Dixie Highway. I frequently get comparables that are to the west of Dixie , which is an area of substantially cheaper homes. Is there any way to more accurately delineate the neighborhood? The problem is further exacerbated by the fact that my home is very close to this western boundary. All the best, Peter

Hey Drew, my neighborhood, Reed, in Portland, OR, appears to be completely subsumed by the Eastmoreland neighborhood. Here's an example address in our neighborhood, 3425 SE Raymond St, Portland, OR 97202, that is listed incorrectly as being in Eastmoreland rather than Reed.

Zillow is way off in 97035 and 97034. Look at 15900 Twin Fir. Listed at $850,000, you have it in the 500s for value. It will, I predict, sell for at least 800. Why don't you have a link to MLS that, by address, codes it for sale on your website?
This may be a fairly accurate service, but not in my neighborhood of Lake Oswego.

Hello! p.s. For Willow Glen boundaries, check out this website (though there are probably more official sources)....

The association says that Willow Glen is roughly three miles southwest of downtown San Jose, and includes all of the original town of Willow Glen.
However, the association's official definition says the boundaries along the lines of Interstate 280 on the north side, Highway 87 and Almaden Expressway on the west side, Foxworthy Avenue on the south side, and Leigh Avenue and Southwest Expressway on the east side.

Our house at 3135 NE 56th Avenue in ZIP Code 97213 is listed in the Roseway neighborhood, but we're actually in Rose City Park. This can be verified at the following two City of Portland websites:

1) www.portlandmaps.com; see the Assessor section, which notes our house's location in the Rose City Park subdivision.

2) www.portlandonline.com; the following shortcut will open a PDF showing a map with the boundaries of the Rose City Park neighborhood: http://snipurl.com/1ogxj.

The two neighborhoods are right next to each other, and it may seem like a minor quibble. However, it may make a difference to some buyers using Zillow should we decide to sell in the future, and I'd appreciate it being changed.

My neighborhood is listed as "Crenshaw" in Los Angeles however a more accurate neighborhood designation is "Baldwin Hills" - heck, there is even a TV Show airing nationally called Baldwin Hills. BH is nationally recognized as the most affluent African American neighborhood in the US. Essentially all of the streets in zip 90008 that begin with "Don" in the street name is in Baldwin Hills. If you could adjust your neighborhood designations in this area I would appreciate it. thanks!

Regarding my home at:

3212 E. Baltimore St.
Baltimore, MD 21224

The neighborhood listed for my home is incorrect. On zillow.com, my home is listed in the Highlandtown neighborhood. In reality, the association should be to the listed neighborhood of Patterson Park East. By definition, the east boundary of Patterson Park East is Clinton Street, which is one block due east from my home.

Please update the association to the correct neighborhood. Please see the link for corroboration

Hello,

There is a large area within the city of Anaheim, California that is incorrect.

The area north of the 91 freeway in the 92807 ZIP code should not be within the Anaheim Hills neighborhood but rather the 'Northeast Anaheim' neighborhood or a neighborhood page that is nonexistent, the 'Anaheim Canyon' neighborhood page.

This would be the most correct listing for this area. Again, all the homes north of the SR91 (91 freeway) within the 92807 ZIP code only (not the 92806 or 92886/92887) should be listed as one of the neighborhoods listed above rather than 'Anaheim Hills'.

Email me if confused, but this is the correct listing for this area, not as it is listed right now.

I'm a real estate agent looking for direction on Zillow Neighborhoods. First question - how do we add neighborhoods to a particular city? I live in the South Valley Ranch area of Henderson, NV but can't figure out how to add South Valley Ranch to the list.

Second issue - I've got a lot of local photos I could add to your site, but some of the neighborhoods aren't listed. And of course, I want to be sure I'm getting the best marketing impressions for the content I'm adding.

My 2 houses is are Hazlet Twp NJ.
You have them listed as one house, and in the wrong municipality.
Our mail delivery is from the Keansburg Post office, but we have no connection with the Boro of Keansburg. This gives incorrect data concerning schools, crime rates, municipal services, and ultimately the property value.
Suffice to say, postal codes cannot be used to accurately place homes within municipal boundries. Will you at least make a very visible place for municipality correction on the homes page?

My home is now listed in the neighborhood 10701, when in fact the ZIP is 10708. While our city border is technically Yonkers (giving us a lower tax bill), our mailing address, public transportation, shopping, etc. are all associated with Bronxville (10708) and this has always been a selling point for many properties within this ZIP. Please adjust accordingly.

I posed a question 5 days ago about correcting my municipality.
It has not been answered. I only want to be listed in the actual town in which my property is located, In which I support the school system , support the police, and pay taxes. Not in an less desirable, neighboring town.

Thank you Drew for replying. My address is 1209 Ryehill Dr, Joliet,IL and we are in Country Glen Estates. The neighborhood you have my house in is Pheasant Landing. Pheasant Landing is the street behind my house and in another school district and that does mean alot. Please look into that and correct it.
