Sales tax on short term rentals

I have a management firm in the Orlando, FL area and am looking into doing short term rentals. I know I will have to collect sales tax. My question is, can I send the owner his money (minus my fee) and make him responsible for paying the sales tax on the TOTAL amount of income on a monthly/quarterly basis, or must I send in the sales tax?

Hopefully this makes sense.

You should call the hotel taxing authority in Orlando. They will make sure you follow the rules properly. No need for you to get involved in any incorrectly processed tax issue.
