Scam?

My house at 1305 Marion Dr., Garland, TX  has been posted by another individual at a lower rent price.  It isno longer listed under my account as active or inactive.  I know it is a female from a prospective tenant that had contacted her.  The tenant is hesitant to rent from us because she is confused from it being posted by two different people.  The "scammer's" email is contacttinaburley@rocketmail.com.  Please delete the ad from her account.  I am going to add it to my account again today.

Unfortunately, this is a problem that is becoming more prevalent.  As a real estate broker, I have called many listing that my client's have found somewhere online and it is nothing but a scam.  What these individuals do is post a house for lease on some web site.  Then they request a deposit before showing the house or in order to get keys.  The reality is that this person has no ownership or right to lease this house and just disappears with the money.  Using a professional Realtor will help Landlords and Tenants avoid falling victim to these type of scams.
