I agree with the other 2 posts..But basically you should interview us..You seem to want to do research and any realtor should welcome your questions. I know I will!!

Zillow has a "directory" with a quarter million agents listed.  Use the directory tab at the top of this page, and then narrow your "search" by including city state or zip code.

You can sort the results several different ways.

But then you need to read what they have written to see if they are someone you are willing to work with, or not willing to work with.  For each of them, clicking on their user name or avatar, it will open their profile page.  I use the "right click" and "open in new window" to avoid losing my place in the list.  Once on the profile page, you can click in the left margin "Q&A" or "discussions" to read what they have posted.

If you like the way they responded to others, you can send them an E-mail by using the "contact me" button under their picture on the profile page.  Ask them some of the key questions you would ask in an interview.

This is a fast way to interview 20 or 30 agents to narrow the results to find out if you want to talk with them in person.

Great!  Thanks so much Ms. Blanken.

I actually live in California and am looking to purchase a home in Ohio  I can afford monthly payments of $800, annual property taxes of $3500, downpayment of $15K and hope to purchase by summer next year.

For you it sounds to good to be true but for me its been a ten year goal.

Please send your contact info so that I may call and keep me your follow up list?

Thanks again!

Consider posting a home selling or home buying question in Zillow, and usually it will be responded to by agents who work your area.  That is a better place to start then a listing of agents who pay Zillow to advertise, in my opinion.  For example, since I am a flat fee broker who helps home sellers in your area, Zillow notified me of your post, to encourage me to respond with localized knowledge.  Good luck.

The short answer is YES, if you search your home value on Zillow's home page, generally, it also displays the names of agents who specialized in your area...
If you want a more refined referral, based on your specific needs, then I suggest that you allow someone, like me, or another realtor, from the a major brokerage, to help you find an agent in your area. I can help you find a RE/MAX agent in your area who has the experience and skill-level to fullfill your real estate needs...
