Sometimes you get wierd calls. I would pay most attention to the more important calls. Turkey is far. Be nice and you'll see them when they get here.

Michael stated it perfectly. Most scams involve sending fake money orders that a bank will initially accept, but later reject in 2-3 weeks after further inspection. Within that time, the "potential customer" will have a scheme having you return some sort of money to them. It usually will be stated up front that the check is made for too much money and they need cash in return or they will cancel the purchase and want their deposit back. If you do decide to go forward I would make them put a large non-refundable deposit to hold the house. It still could be risky, but you need to do everything possible to protect yourself. Good Luck !!!

I wouldn't trust it. I would wait until you see him face to face and get an attorney.

I bet you a dollar the 'deposit' will be in the form of a bogus check that you will deposit, they then change their minds and ask you to send the money back. You send the money back, the bank says their check was no good (even though they accepted the check!) and they debit your account the value of the worthless check.
Guess who's out big bucks? (Hint; it's not the bank).
