You can always give the rent money to the new owner, The problem is that you (me) just don't know how long it's going to take to move a house. There are two houses on our lane, 6 mil and 1.8 mil that have been sitting there for 2-3 years. I thought if I could rent for 2 or 3 weeks and still list it- get some exposure.

A lease runs with the sale of a home. Most buyers will not want to purchase a home that is tenant occupied.
