We are looking to put our house on the market next spring/summer. My husband lost his job in August and was able to find a position 400 miles away. However, our son is a senior in high school, and has entered the delayed entry program for the Navy, leaving for basic in June 2012. We want him to finish his senior year at his current school and have a great last year of high school before leaving for the Navy. My husband has moved to Wisconsin for his new position and I am staying in Missouri with our son to finish his senior year. We have recently renovated some areas in the house but know that others will need to be revamped prior to listing. What is the cost involved in something of this nature?

Yes. We are selling our home in Appleton, WI by owner. We have done some work to get the house modernized (it's almost 100 years old) but have not done any major improvements to the kitchen or bathroom. Awesome location in an area with reasonable real estate values. We just sold our business and are trying to move closer to family in Kansas City. Here's our home listing: http://valleybyowner.com/listings/listings_details.asp?l=13404 Hope we can help each other!

I would welcome the help :) My partner and I have poured time and money into renovating our Seattle home in a quiet district north of the city. We've gutted and redone the attic space - making sure to pay attention to insulation and ventilation issues, replaced windows and are looking into residing now. But the back yard is a mess (thanks to our pooch) and the house value has sunk way below what we bought it for just under four years ago (despite the upgrades). This house is has craftsman bones and a great layout - but its missing the Arts & Crafts finishing touches and would also greatly benefit from additional space (there is a big back yard that would accommodate an addition)

I would invite all the help and exposure that's possible!
Our home is like a resort with pool, work out room, dry suana, indoor hot tub, wet bar, pool table and two offices. It features a great view of the KC skyline in the winter from the back deck off of the master office. It's in a great location just a poor market to be in as a seller....

I would love some professional help in preparing to sell my home. We've updated our kitchen and bathrooms with new oak cabinets, granite counters, put tile in the bathrooms and painted the inside. Our goal is to slowly update the house since we had it built in 1997. My husband and I quite often disagree with how to decorate. I teasingly refer to my husband as Frauk (the movie where Martin Short played the wedding planner). At times I tell myself I should be happy that I have a husband who cares and other times I just want to divorce him!! I can't tell you how many times I've re-decorated my bathrooms. HELP!! We are hoping to sell this house in two year and purchase a smaller home cash when we retire.

That would be wonderful! We have remodeled the property with new paint and flooring but maybe some more extensive remodeling would help the home sell. This home holds our retirement, so we need to get the most bang out of this sell as possible. You may call or email me to discuss the possibilities.
Thank you for this offer.
