Short sale: tenants

I've put in an offer (more than listing price) for a short sale condo that is still being occupied. The tenants let us in to see the place but told us that they didn't plan to move out until June of next year. Why is it listed right now and does this mean I don't have any chance in getting this place in the coming months? I've read/heard a lot about short sales but was hoping to hear more about the tenants rights and what they can and will do at this point.

Thanks.

do not even bother with it. best case scenario you go to court, evict them and they dont trash the house on the way out. its crazy they rights that you dont have.

no way would i touch this until it is owner occupied or vacant. just getting by the bank's inspection will be a nightmare.
