Should I be concerned that our new loan processor doesn't have access to our file?

While waiting for our loan to go to/get out of underwriting our loan processor was fired or quit. We were having an issue getting responses or accurate info, and then we were notified that our loan processor no longer works for our bank. The following day we were contacted by a new processor who told us that she doesn't have access to our file, and we needed to resubmit all of our documents.

The whole thing made me feel uneasy, and a bit disappointed that we have had to sign multiple extensions because of the situation. How would the new loan processor not have access to the stack of documents we had sent already? and where did they go?

Where is your loan officer in this process.  He/She should also have access to what you have submitted to underwriting.  Resubmitting documentation seems a little odd as your information should have been uploaded.  Often times what happens is that documentation expires and loan processor will need to collect documentation such as updated paystubs, bank statements, if your 4506T is out of scope, they will require new signatures for that form, etc . . . but to sign loan documents would be odd.

If you have been waiting a bit for your loan to be underwritten that is normal. Get in touch with your L/O see what he/she says.  No worries though on sending in more documentation.

If your file was in underwriting then the UW has access to your file and doc's?  Something doesn't ad up you need to talk with the processing manager and find out where your doc's and file are.  Most loan files are imaged for processing and underwriting and the information is available somewhere.

How long have you been in the process? A new processor being locked out would not make sense. Post you scenery please.
