Any time is a good time to sell. The winter months are great because you don't have as much competition from other homes for sale in the area. The buyers that are out there this time of year are serious.

List now, if you haven't yet.  Interest rates will work to your advantage, plus inventory is LOW!

The busiest closing month for Everett is April.  These closings are for sales made in February and March.  If you plan on an average marketing time of about 30 days, that means that anytime between now and the end of February is a great time to put your home on the market.

Once we get into April, May & June, more homes come on the market that you will be in competition with.  Therefore you are most likely to get the highest price for your home when inventory is at it's lowest, which is now.

I have charts for Everett home sales broken down into the busiest months and average home prices for the last 10 years on our blog.  You can check it out here:

Also, be sure your home is staged and ready for the market to maximize your selling price.  Tips on how to prepare your home can be found here:

List now. There will be more competition come the Spring and Summer market.  Buyer interest rates are still low as added incentive for buyers.

Many sellers consider Spring to be the "traditional" selling period - and so wait to list their homes until March or April. By listing your home now you will have less competition immediately on the market.

Buyer activity is picking up in the south Snohomish County area. The latest tick up in interest rates - and predictions from many sources that it will continue to rise - has prompted buyers to make their move. Prices in the area have begun to stabilize as inventory is being depleted by these buyers. If a rush of homes come on the market in the Spring - prices may fall again when supply outpaces demand.

I wish you a quick sale!

I agree with the previous post...now might be the best time to list. Besides values still trending downward, there's less competition out there right now. Here's a link to an article on selling your home at this time of year that might be helpful to you: [content removed by moderator]

Good Luck and let me know if you need any help!
