Should we rent our house or sell it in Goldens Bridge, NY?

We have a high ranch with a separate one bedroom apartment on 1.5 acres. I'm wondering what we can rent the whole house for in this market>

Love Goldens Bridge, in fact one of our best agents lives right there.... happy to help...but my advice would be lets do the numbers on both...and list the home as both a rental and for sale and see!

Sure we make a heck of a lot more if we sell it, but knowing the area you may have a quicker time just renting it ...many of our buyers are looking for homes to "try" out for a year to see if they like the area and then buying...so rent to buy is a great option and gives you an advantage!

All the best,
Jon

In addition to contacting a local realtor who can give you info on the market value of your house, you can check Craigslist to see what similar houses are renting for in your area.

Please interview local REAs and get an advice from them. A lot depends on your financial situation, your goals, local market, condition of the house, supply & demand in your area etc. The agents can share with you their local knowledge about the market and guide you in the right direction. Additonally they can provide you with CMA and based on it you can decide what makes more sense to you-leasing or selling.
Good luck!
