Should you sell your present home before making an offer on another home?Often, I am asked if a buyer should make an offer on a home before selling their present home. Contingency offers are most always tough to get to a closing. Especially, when there is a kick out clause to make them remove the contingency to sell their home first. Then they have to start over.My best advice would be to get it cleaned and staged, then let your Realtor get it professionally marketed and a contract. THEN, start looking at homes to buy. You could accept the offer on your home contingent on you putting an offer on and successfully closing on a new home. There are many ways to look at this for a buyer and seller .
