Suggestion for my interest - add city comparison information including housing prices, education testing, safety, population growth in 1 and 5 years, business growth in 1 and 5 years, and the like. There used to be updated information at MSN but that stopped about 1 1/2 years ago or so.

Hi I'm CRA from arizona, I use this site only for its maps. I have to deal in real market value versus appraised values, so I cannot really rely on these numbers, but I am impressed with what has transpired here and cannot wait to see it in its end phases. I buy houses quickly, sometimes in three days. I usually pay cash, but have done some creative financing as well. This year we are on our way to purchasing quite a few houses.

Thanks Patrick! We're definitely working hard to make Zillow a communication platform for anyone interested in all parts of Real Estate.

Btw, your website is great. I too have done a ton of trial and error, learning by myself, etc, but nothing beats networking with other investors and sharing stories and ideas. Great job.

Hopefully this fits in to what you are looking for on this forum. I don't see anyone else on this forum offering this. I have purchased 3 properties personally through this method as well. It is exciting. Here is a little history:
I have been in the real estate investing/development field for over 20 years. I am a California licensed real estate broker. I represent numerous investors that invest in pre-development properties throughout the United States and Mexico. These properties are purchased (with the clout of over 100,000 buyers in our group) at substantially under market prices (creating instant equity) in hot baby boomer market areas that are carefully hand picked and determined to still have substantial upside potential over the next several years. We buy individually, generally only requiring 10% down and usually with a seller credit at close that will cover future mortgage payments for 1-2 years plus closing costs. With the slower market we have locally, this has been a God send. We are truly blessed to be a part of this program. While there is no fee to join, you join by invitation only. We also have room to take a few top producing real estate agents (through your current broker as a referring agent) from anywhere in the U.S. under our wing and teach them what we are doing. Hi everyone,
I am just beginning to explore the possibilities of investing in real estate. I have been working to gain as much knowledge as possible by reading many books dealing with real estate, from tax lien/deed sales to foreclosures.

I live in northern Ohio near Cleveland. This is probably not the greatest area for real estate investing due to the loss of many manufacturing jobs throughout the area but I must say it seems that this is a buyers market right now.

I have yet to close any deals but I have noticed some that are very interesting. I am leaning toward multi-unit properties to begin with but will probably venture toward other types of properties once I get my feet wet.

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and wish success to everyone. I am sure we can help each other by sharing our experiences.
