Silverdale Bicycle Paths ...NOT

Port Townsend is a biking destination for a lot of people...why is Kitsap County, Silverdale in particular, anti safe walking and biking paths?

Well, I would have to disagree.  The Silverdale area (unicorporated by the way) has miles of good roads with wide shoulders and/or bike lanes.  Chico Way, Provost Road, Old Fronteir Road,  parts of Clear Creek, Kitsap Lake Rd, Erlands Point, and Central Valley Rd are all great bike routes.  Additionally, for recreational riding, jogging, roller blading, etc... there is the Clear Creek Trail system which goes right through Silverdale.  The Clear Creek Trail is fabulous because there are so many different terrain types from wide open fields, to dense forest and ocean beach.  What's not to love?  For an unincorporated area things are pretty good.

You need to compare apples to apples.  If you are going to make comparisons with Port Townsend to places in Kitsap County then perhaps you should stick with cities like Poulsbo or even Bainbridge Island, both of which are incorporated like Port Townsend.

And also the Clear Creek Trail just north of Home Depot I have heard is a good spot to bike on. Just be careful of joggers!

Agree, somewhat. As a bicycle commuter there are tight spots or no burn on 30-40% of my daily ride from Newberry Hill to Trigger ave gate via Anderson Hill.
