There is a county-by-county income limit.
Rate sheet from July 2, 2010 is 5% to 5.25% depending on income based on Median Income of the County.
Maximum downpayment assistance is $5,000.

I think this is a great program; I did a blog on the State Housing Program/Requirements on Active Rain. You can find a list of lenders and Realtors, like myself, who are more willing to assist anyone who qualifies.

The first-time home buyer requirement is waived for all single parent applicants. The applicant cannot own a principal residence at the time of closing on their new home.
The borrower must be an unmarried, head of household AND custodial parent or legal guardian of at least one minor child under the age of 18 at the time of closing. The borrower must have documentation that they have been separated for a minimum of six months or have a recorded divorce decree or recorded separation agreement. Email me for more information.
