Square Footage corrected, no value change?

Why is it when my house was updated from an incorrect sq. footage (1100) to 1596 (from a physical appraisal) the value didn't change?

It will be updated in a matter of time. It just takes a while.

When did you make the edits?    Zillow's "What is a Zestimate?" addresses time after edits to fully reflect in the Zestimate.

Why does it take time to change?   A statistical smoothing function in the algorithm.   A smoothing function is pretty typical in statistical modeling.   It takes about 2 months to fully reflect the impact of edits.

It doesnt matter, your value is what it is regardless of Zillow.

I don't know if it is reality or not, but I feel that one reason Zillow makes it take a while is so that sellers don't "game" the zestimate.

it's slow, it takes a week or more to change.
Why...that's a complext answer that I'm not qualified to provide but there are others that might chime in when they see this question.  Pasadenan or WetDawgs might be able to answer that if they see the question.   You might search old questions, I believe it's been answered before.
