Square Footage

The square footage for the following 2-story, 4-bdrm, 2.5 bath home with separate dining and family room shows on Zillow as 940sf. However the 940sf shown is only the living area on the 1st floor. This is incorrect and should be 1954sf which includes the 1st and 2nd floors. The 940sf is addressing the wrong field in the state property records, i.e. the Zillow system is incorrectly recording the "Base SF" rather than the "Living SF" from Maryland's real property records. Unfortunately it is using that reduced sf to calculate its Zestimate. The "Living SF" shows correctly on the MD State Dept of Assessments & Taxation's Real property web site.

The issue you describe is similar to most of the sqft threads in Home Facts discussions. We had an issue with our vendor data that caused our sqft numbers to incorrectly show on the site for the past week or so.

We have fixed it today and it looks like your property is again showing the correct SQFT numbers as you describe above.
