I think wall street, although it loves easy money, knows the truth. --That easy money comes with a higher price. They seem to be having a harder and harder time applauding easy money tactics.
It will loosen up the credit markets which otherwise would shut down completely. Now they have to work on a homeowner bail out.
Unless those credit markets get "really, really" loose it is not going to have much impact on the RE market for the average buyer. And, as I recall, "really, really" loose credit was so helpful over the last few years. Blech.
So now coconut...what measuring device will you be looking at to judge if this worked? Home price indexes?
why would this effect home prices? what possible effect could this have on home prices. we have already established that banks never stopped mort lending, merely raised their standards... you think they are going trim them back down now that they could possibly get more money to lend with?
