Great idea Tammy!

So you're envisioning this as a place for repeat offenders primarily?

Yeah, primarily repeat offenders. No mean comments though. This is a clean thread!

I've been running this around in my head a lot today about how to improve the site and assist honest and competitive users. Obviously we need to weed out the offenders, and it looks like either too big a job or counterintuitive to Zillow's business model for them do it - yet.
How about some sort of accountability panel made up of volunteers from this site. I envision that if a repeat offender (multiple flags by other members) gets to a certain level, they would have to justify the next quote with an LOE and proof. Members of the panel could not rule in areas they can lend in, so that would probably rule out bankers with national ability. If panelists were found to have quoted in areas they had ruled on, they would be removed and possibly called out on the forum.
Just by creating this panel, whether it works well or not, might be enough of a preventitive to limit some or a lot of the offenses.
Zillow would have to manage it, so they may not want to put the resources into developing this, but, if they believe this should be a site that is reputable and reliable, I would hope they would be open to the idea.

Oh, what do you do with someone who has been found to be dishonest? How about a negative accountability rating similar to the positive one, posted on their profile? They could continue to quote, but it would stay for some probationary period, and removed if there were no more offenses, or they would be barred if they sinned again.
Too complicated?

Good idea for Peer Review. To post a link, do you copy the request id and paste into where it says add link? Never learned this!

Doesn't seem to work in Firefox, only IE. Copy the link, go to the enter reply box and click on the "Add Link" icon. It's a little buggy.

But i like snide comments Tammy.....
Please ensure that anything you see is flagged - that's our primary tool for finding bad actors and we're almost finished training and staffing up the flag review effort so let us know!

Will you be rolling something out regarding your review effort? An announcement plus adding language to the Code of Conduct will have a significant deterring effect.

You got it David, just trying to help!
Account in Erin's name, email on the account if for a J Gardere, I assuem that is the Jody being referred to, and then someone completely different is quoting. I'm not even going to go into the rate quoted ...

another BIG thumbs up Tammy (you are on fire today)
I suggest that when we quote that we put the link to this thread right in our message to the consumer...
Label it - Click here for a ZMM 'Fraudulent Lender List, Consumer Beware!' (or something like that) - do it on every single quote indeed, also put the link on your profile etc... (I just did)
this consistant approach might stop some think twice before they toss out the bait and switch cocka

Dishonest, incompetent, and incomprehensible just about covers it....
how 'bout the misspelling in the profile? I can almost understand as we post in the chats, typos and what have you...but when you put them in your profile, what does that say about your professionalism? If you do not take the time to proof your own profile, and cannot spell variety...or many other words in two paragraphs, how can a client put faith and trust in you for their biggest investment.

6.125% 0 Points? Absolutely possible......I just need to make sure that the 1.2 million jigowatts of power goes through the Flux Capacitor in my time machine so I can go back in time 3 weeks or so......

Fermi,
He's new and on a quoting spree. He is even quoting it as FHA so he just needs a gentle "nudge" in the right direction.

Maybe the link I have created is the very reason we should have National Licensing! People can't read and understand rate sheets. It is pretty bad when none of these lenders could read a rate sheet or know the simplest of guidelines.

TO ZILLOW: Links to fake reviews, unrealistic rate/fees, bad profiles
-
- 4.5/5.0
- (11 reviews)
Contributions:6995This thread is not a thread like the HOS. Instead of flagging, I've started this thread for repeat offenders who are offering qutoes/rates that are inconsistent (I'm trying to be nice) with everyone else, they have fake reviews or bad profiles. This is not a thread to gripe or complain or make snide comment.
Here are the instructions for the LO's:
1) Create the Link
2) Describe whether it as follows:
Fake Review/Rating
Unrealistic Rate/Fee
Bad Profile
3)Submit it
Instead of trying to go through our HOS and all the flagging that is going on, just post a link to the profile and Zillow can monitor this thread.
