Our lender wants to know what the taxes are on the new townhome we are buying. They were built in 2008. How do we find out what the property taxes will be?

An easy estimate is to use 1% of the purchase price for yearly taxes. This is a rough estimate, but will get you close enough.

Ex: A $300,000 townhomes would be roughly $3000/yr in taxes, or $250/mo.
