Tell me about Leland!

My family 5 is looking to move to the area in about a year.  Leland has been recommended to us the most, but we are not sure which area is the best.  We are a multi-racial family and want to be in an area that will embrace us. We love the small town feel and have family near Wallace.  Any thoughts? Suggestions for other nearby areas

Leland is a very friendly little town, and almost any of the neighborhoods here welcome many diverse couples and families.

I agree with the previous poster.  Leland is home to a diverse group of people and you should have no problems being embraced by neighbors and new friends. 

There are many transplants from all over the U.S. and even the world living in the Leland area and its close proximity to Wilmington ensures it is welcoming of diversity - I am personally very good friends with a married gentlemen couple and their adopted child.  They have not experienced any overt discrimination and are well liked. 

My in-laws live in Wallace  :)
