What level of stupidity must we reach before implosion?

--Congressional Democrats agree that at least 100 billion dollars will evaporate due to this housing mess by 2009. Debatable to say the least, as I believe it will cost trillions in the end.

--The Commerce Department can't report correct sales numbers if their lives depended on it. How many revisions have they had the last 3 months? How about them revising August's numbers lower to make September appear "up"?

--We no longer manufacture anything, our jobs are now dependent on other "countries", which pay nothing might I add.

--In the midst of what could possibly be the worst economical disaster I have ever witnessed, the FED is bailing out British Banks.

--Ask Jim Rogers what he thinks of the US Economy, and see if he mentions recession within 1 sentence or 2.

--Bank of America is firing 3000 people. Didn't I mention something about Bank of America a couple months ago? Whom else did I mention?

--Countrywide, well I hope you know about them by now.

--Same with CITI.

--Bear Sterns anyone?

--We are spending how many billions of dollars in Iraq? Why?

--Why hasn't Bush been impeached?

--Where will our children be in 20 years?
Paying 20 million dollars for a studio apartment in the Bronx, with a yearly salary of 75,000?

--The FED is the root cause of our current situation.

The populous is enslaved by debt, yet can't see past their McMansion's front yard. Welcome to the new USA...

I don't really care if you believe that I am a doom and gloomer. To tell the truth, I believe there will be a massive stock market crash. After which we will enter the second deflationary spiral ever. How we as a country come out the opposing side is anyones guess.

my husband just got back from china.. he was visiting manufacturing facilities.. he said it was strange to see lines and lines of 16 year old kids in uniforms running machines to fabricate everything from toys to jet engines.. what are we to do? America demands a certain price point.. we are constantly "shopping" everything for a better price.. how else do our us companies compete but than to outsource?? It's a very sad situation on all sides.. he said hong kong was the richest city he has ever seen.. one mall had 6 gucci stores.. they have money pouring out of them.. so how do we pull it all back in? I don't know.. but giving the current administration an enema couldn't hurt..

julia, would you please stop with the anti-renter rhetoric. It's just in poor taste to persistently rub salt in the wounds of the "have nots" of the home ownership world.

It would be in equally poor taste for someone to grind away at an upside down owner who wishes that they could get out of their home without declaring bankruptcy.

Don't know if you know "Alpine ***" (whatever he's calling himself these days) but he's made some similarly poor taste remarks about renters being "bitter because of their own poor judgement".

Salt rubbing is just not appreciated.

Toyota has opened many plants in the United States for their Vehicles. AKA, Jobs
The Worlds Largest Cement Plant will open in AZ in the near future. Creating Thousands of Jobs. China used to produce 1/3 of the Worlds Cement Powder.

The U.S. needs to adapt and it will. Does your relentless search for bad news help anything?
