The property @ 500 State and @ 2220 W. 4th Ave., in El Dorado KS, 67042 are the same. Why?

I have been renting this house since June 2004 and I believe it is only about 700 sq. ft.  Yes it is a corner lot hence the reason for the duplication.  You see, The City of El Dorado allows the owners of corner properties to address them to whichever street the property borders.  I was told by the bank that the owners have let the mortage go back to the Bank of Towanda as of January 2009.
