Quick Scenario:

We are looking fo rour first home to purchase in Tennessee. Currently we live in Antioch and we both are scattered with our jobs. I work in Brentwood, he works in Rivergate, our 5 year old son, who is in private school so school is not a factor, goes to school in the nashville/Antioch area. We both attend MTSU in Murfreesboro and we have no idea where to start looking for homes that would be convient for everything.

I love the downtown location however I am unaware of what streets are decent etc. We need somethign that I wont have to be worried sick if my son is outside playing in the backyard.

We are looking in the 150K area and need atleast 3 bed/2 bath with some sort of yard for the dog. Preferably 1500 sq ft.+

Any help on location primarily.

I just started working in a new community in Antioch called Ridgeview. It's nestled away in nature conservancy land but convenient to everything in your life. I'd like to invite you to come check it out. There are underground utilities, a tree line and stream and a lot of upgraded features that are standard in the community.

I'd also like to invite you to a First Time Home Buyer Workshop in Brentwood on Thursday August 6th.

The workshop will feature realtors, builders and mortgage professionals presenting and answering questions about the tax credit, home buying process, mortgage process, renting vs. buying, why now is a good time to buy etc.

The workshop will be at Hyatt Place, 202 Summit View Dr, Brentwood TN 37027. Thursday, August 6 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Event is free but seating is limited. Email me at marilyn.m.bell@gmail.com to reserve a spot.

My first thoughts are 37211, 37210 and 37214. Woodbine, Whispering Hills & Donelson all offer nice access to the interstate and affordable home prices within your budget. Also, recent studies show that homes in older, established neighborhoods are holding better values than newer-construction neighborhoods because there is a lower change of foreclosure.
