The zestimate on our home is extremely low. It was appraised at $257,674which is outside of the zes

The appraisal is higher than the top end of the zestimate range.  Our neighbors houses all are higher...even those with less sq footage and lot size (equal in number of BR and baths).  Why is our house so low?

I'm not sure that Ive ever seen a Zestimate that is very accurate. I think they put too much emphisis on the taxable value to come up with that number.

Thank you for the reply...that helps.  I will update some of the information about the home and see if the zestimate increases a bit.

The Zestimate is merely a starting point and is not an appraisal, nor is it a comparative market analysis.  A significant factor that can determine the difference between the Zestimate and the sold price is the amount of information we have about a specific property.

You can also post your own estimate in the Zestimate section, in which you can explain why you think the Zestimate should be higher or lower, as well as elaborate on features of the home you think potential buyers should be aware of.
