There is major incorrect information on my home in Zillow. What recourse do I have?

Zillow has my house described as a ranch, and it's a 2 story home.   The square footage is off by at 1000 sq. ft.  The property size is listed as half of what it should be.  Where did this information come from?

claim your home on Zillow and edit the data.  It takes two minutes or less after going through the FAQs (click on blue words)

Usually Zillow gets their data from public records through a third party provider.  Check to see if your county has the right information.

Should you be wondering how long it takes the Zestimate to correct in response to major edits, plan on several weeks to several months.  Six to eight weeks is pretty common.
