Thinking of filing chapter 13 but not sure if my car will be taken away?

If I have a lienholder on my car would I lose my car if I were to file bankruptcy, Chapter 13?  

If so, if I were to pay off my lienholder and then file chapter 13 do I have to wait a period of time so they don't maybe reverse my payoff?

I would not take the advice of anyone here unless they're a tax attorney or CPA.  I would definitely seek professional advice before making any financial decisions with relation to bankruptcy.  Good luck!
